Dominic is a London-based composer, producer & multi-instrumentalist. Having forged his craft as part of inspired outfits TriForce & Project Karnak, the prolific South Londoner is ready to step to the fore with his debut solo offering.

The stars are already aligned: a fateful encounter with saxophonist Ahnansé placed Dominic at the epicenter of the Steamdown explosion. Whilst playing at their legendary weekly nights, he was approached by award-winning soul/ R&B vocalist Celeste to become her musical director, a position that has placed him on stage performing at the Brit Awards and Later with Jools Holland, as well as opening up new touring and recording opportunities.
Cannings soundscape is a synthesis of lessons gleaned from forays into hip hop and free jazz, musical adventures in Brazil and life experiences as a young black man growing up in London. His forthcoming album ‘Renaissance’, set for release on Brownswood Records, promises to reinforce his reputation as a heavyweight player with a message for the people.
