RSL Level 3 Subsidiary / Extended Diploma Creative Music Industries One Year / Two Years Full Time
Length: Two years, Full time
Our bespoke two year, Level 3 course is another of our flagship courses and offers a fully comprehensive introduction to the music industry.
You will be able to develop your skills in music performance, songwriting and composition to a professional standard, providing you with the skills necessary to progress your career. As a performer you will develop your instrument/ voice, artistic image and persona.
You will have the opportunity to perform at music industry focused internal and external events, auditions and music industry showcases, record your own material in our in- house studio, create your own music video and build your profile as an artist.
You will develop a thorough understanding of how the music industry works and create the tools and resources necessary to start a career, find freelance work or even launch your own business.

Music Performance Pathway Students will:
- Learn advanced music performance skills
- Study music rehearsal and audition techniques
- Develop professional songwriting techniques
- Create resources to launch their career in the music industry
- Develop their music theory and composition skills
- Work on their artiste persona
- Learn about contracts and copyright
- Develop their understanding of marketing and promotion
- Learn how to professionally release and promote their own music
- Enhance their knowledge of the music industry
- Perform and perfect a set as a solo artist or session musician
- Have access to industry standard, state of the art equipment
- Complete both practical and theoretical assignments
- Work on individual and group projects
- Have access to 1:2:1 and group vocal, keyboard and guitar lessons
- Have the opportunity to showcase their work at regular SoundSkool events
- Network – connecting with established music industry professionals at SoundSkool’s renowned masterclasses, as well as going on industry trips and attending seminars & workshops
- Undertake industry work experience
Students will be guided by SoundSkool’s team of expert tutors who will assist you towards your musical career goals.
All Level 3 students are expected to undertake the 2-year Extended Diploma, however there are opportunities for students to join SoundSkool for 1 year undertaking the Subsidiary Diploma.
Students will also undertake GCSE and/or functional skills in English and/or Mathematics if they have not yet achieved Grade 4 or above.
What Do I Need To Apply?
Level 2 RSL Diploma for Music Practitioners, or equivalent
OR demonstrable musical experience, and 5 GCSE’s at Grade 4-9.
