Michael Galloway

Learning Support Assistant

Michael is a Learning Support Assistant and Mentor at SoundSkool. He began playing the guitar at a young age and developed a profound interest in music production. He studied a Masters in Music at the University of Edinburgh, specialising in Composition and Audio Production, and earned the Andrew Bequest Prize for his final-year Composition project. Currently, his primary interests revolve around songwriting, composition and music production.

Michael finds working with young people to be sincerely fulfilling and believes that music is one of the most powerful mediums for conveying ideas and building self-esteem.

Michael says ‘I couldn’t ask for a better team at SoundSkool. Everyone I work with is supremely talented and involved in a range of interesting and successful things outside of college. The students are really lucky to have such experienced mentors, and the relationships we are able to cultivate with them affirms to me why I became involved in music to begin with.’
