Work Experience: Mehmet Visits The BFI

SoundSkool Level 1 Artist Development & Performance student Mehmet visited the British Film Institute this week,  in order to pursue his dream of becoming a screenplay writer. Located on London’s Southbank, the BFI ‘exists to promote greater understanding and appreciation of, and access to, film and moving image culture in the UK.’

On top of being an aspiring rapper and lyricist, Mehmet is also a talented writer, and creates screenplays in his own time. As part of his work experience, SoundSkool offered Mehmet the opportunity to meet with Riley Madincea, director of the critically acclaimed Help! I’m Trapped In A Movie short film. Riley looked through Mehmet’s screenplays and offered him some top advice on how to get noticed in the film industry. We look forward to seeing Mehmet on big screens in the near future…
