Our singers were lucky enough to welcome singing coach Coco Mbassi to Enfield today. Winner of the Radio France Internationale Découvertes Prize in 2001 with the song “Muenge Mwa Ndolo”, Coco has toured worldwide with her stunning vocals. SoundSkool students got to explore various aspects of African polyrhythms, layering traditional songs over each other in a series of choir style exercises. The workshop took place in ‘The Hub’ at CONEL, where we are currently based. Students had a great time, and took away some important singing techniques. A massive thanks to Coco!
