SoundSkool is a specialist post-16 music industry college for young people aged 16-18.

We offer fully funded, accredited education that places music at the centre of learning, not as an add-on, but as a serious pathway.

ACADEMIC LEGITIMACY
All SoundSkool programmes are accredited and regulated, leading to nationally recognised qualifications. At Level 3, students earn UCAS points and can progress to university, apprenticeships, or employment-staying fully within the education system.
VIEW OUR COURSES
STRUCTURE, ROUTINE & EXPECTATIONS
Students are expected to attend regularly, be punctual, engage respectfully, and complete coursework on time. The environment is structured, creative, and supportive, providing clear expectations that help young people stay focused and thrive.

SoundSkool courses are fully funded through standard post-16 education funding, in the same way as school sixth forms and colleges.

Students learn in purpose-built creative spaces designed for music production, performance, collaboration, and focused work. These facilities are always supervised, well maintained, and used responsibly, giving students a safe and professional environment to grow.

What this looks like in practice:
  • Designated Safeguarding Leads clearly identified
  • Clear reporting procedures for concerns or worries

We recognise that creative young people can be more vulnerable to challenges such as anxiety, confidence issues, social pressure, and emotional regulation. Our support is proactive, not reactive, ensuring students feel seen, supported, and understood as whole individuals, not just performers.

PROGRESSION & NEXT STEPS
SoundSkool is a launch point, not a dead end. Students progress to university, apprenticeships, or creative roles, building transferable skills like teamwork, confidence, and problem-solving.
