As part of enriching students experience at SoundSkool we provide very relevant masterclasses with some of the industry’s key partners. Yesterday we welcomed Benedict Curran who is the head of streaming at Decca Records.
Benedict spoke about the rich history of the British record label which was established in 1929 and is a subsidiary to The Universal Music Group. He showcased some of his amazing roster of artists signed to their label which included: Sheku Kanneh-Mason — Luciano Pavarotti — Gregory Porter —- Seal
Finally Benedict explained all the ins and outs of streaming in todays industry and students asked questions about the different platforms, asked about tips/tricks and finally got to play their music for a big music feedback session!!
