We’re proud to introduce our new home @Rising Tide and a partnership that brings together two organisations with a shared commitment to music, creativity and creating opportunities for young people.
For SoundSkool, finding the right home was about much more than finding a new building. We wanted a space that reflected the creative environment our students are preparing to work in, while giving us the opportunity to continue developing the SoundSkool experience.
Our new home gives us exactly that.
With dedicated music studios, live rehearsal rooms, sound stage and dedicated classrooms, students will be learning in spaces designed around music and creativity. Having these facilities together under one roof gives us greater flexibility across music production and performance, while creating more opportunities for students to work together across different areas of the college.
The studios will provide spaces for producing, recording and developing new music, while the live rehearsal rooms and sound stage will give performers the opportunity to rehearse, develop their stagecraft and bring their ideas to life. Alongside these creative spaces, our dedicated classrooms provide an important environment for the wider learning, planning and development that sits behind every successful creative career.
But what makes our new home particularly exciting is the partnership around it.
SoundSkool and Rising Tide have their own identities and experience, but there is a natural connection between our organisations. Music sits at the heart of what we do, alongside a belief in giving young people access to the spaces, support and opportunities that can help them develop their potential.
Being based together creates possibilities that go beyond simply sharing a building. By bringing together our respective experience, networks and relationships, there is an opportunity to develop new collaborations, projects and experiences and to connect our students with an even wider creative community.
For our students, it means coming to college each day in an environment where music is being created around them. A place where a lesson can develop into a studio session, an idea can become a collaboration and students have the space to experiment, create and grow.
That combination of education, professional facilities and creative community is what makes this partnership so exciting for us.
As we prepare to welcome our students into their new home, we’re looking forward to seeing these spaces come to life and to discovering what can be created within them.
